Committed to diverting resources from landfill – each year Reverse Garbage accepts approximately 35,000 cubic metres or 100 football fields of items which may otherwise end up in the bin. 40 years on Reverse Garbage is now an internationally recognised, award-winning environmental co-operative committed to promoting sustainability through the reuse of resources available at its Marrickville warehouse, as well as providing support to other community, creative and educational organisations.
Over the April school holidays Reverse Garbage will be running a number of school holiday workshops for kids at their "Reuse Tinker Lab". The "Electrickery" workshop will teach students all about circuits and electronics while they build and solder their own circuits that beep and flash. Participants will be given the opportunity to make their own upcycled creation including their circuit and materials from the Reverse Garbage warehouse.
