RRA have had such success in operating retail space at transfer stations and landfills that they were approached by East Kimberly Job Pathways to consult on the setup of a remote site in Kununurra, NT.
For the past four months Ally Borland has made many visits to Kununurra to consult on the Re-use Shop set-up. Ally has played a significant role in the success of RRA’s Reviva Shop in Moss Vale and Revolve Shop in Dunmore, NSW and was the perfect consultant to assist East Kimberly Job Pathways turn waste-into-wages themselves. Ally saw the project from start to finish, this included ensuring the site was fit for purpose; the entire shop/site fit out (which was all set up using repurposed salvaged items); staff training; and so much more!
Collaboration was the key to success with all stakeholders (East Kimberly Job Pathways, Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley and Resource Recovery Australia) sharing a common goal and vision.
Ally was instrumental in achieving a brilliant end result. The Kununurra Re-use Shop opened on Friday 15 September with incredible engagement and participation from the local community.
East Kimberly Job Pathways have also recently joined CRNA, we welcome them and you can connect and check out their great operation @ Revie Facebook page.
