We know that Community Recycling Enterprises (CRE's) bring many benefits to their communities, but measuring these impacts is often difficult for social enterprises who are time poor. The study aims to measure the social, environmental and economic benefits that NSW based CRE's bring to their communities.
As part of the study an Impact Measurement workshop was also held on the 17th of May in Sydney and attracted a range of community recyclers and industry representatives. The data gathered from the workshop will be used to help develop an impact measurement tool which aims to provide CRE's with a simple way to measure their social, environmental and economic impacts. [This kind of] information is very helpful to know when applying for grants and funding.
We look forward to seeing the results of the study, so stay tuned for further information in upcoming bulletins.
