The Government aims to appoint a single Scheme Coordinator, who will be responsible for the financial management of the scheme, including auditing and validation, as well as community education about the scheme. Network Operators will be responsible for establishing and managing networks of collection points in specific zones across NSW. Appointments will be made through a two stage competitive selection process.
The first stage is an invitation for applicants to apply for Prequalification for the Scheme Coordinator and Network Operator roles.
Applications to prequalify will be accepted from Thursday 17 November until 5pm Monday 5 December 2016.
Further details about the roles and responsibilities for these bodies, the criteria for assessing applicants and the submission requirements, can be accessed on the NSW Government eTendering website.
Applications must be lodged on the NSW Government eTendering website. For technical assistance, please contact the NSW Procurement Service Centre on 1800 679 289.
Applicants that are prequalified through this first stage will be invited to participate in the second stage of the appointment process, which will commence in mid- to late-December 2016.
This two stage process is only for people interested in applying for the Scheme Coordinator and Network Operator roles.
Anyone interested in being a Collection Point Operator is invited to register their interest with the NSW EPA, by completing a Collection Point Operator registration form.
